Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information: email address and username
• Usage data: generation history, prompts, and platform interactions
• Generated content: images and videos you create (stored temporarily)
• Payment information: processed securely through Stripe, PayPal, and Apple Pay; we do not store card details

2. How We Use Your Information

• Providing and maintaining the service
• Managing your account and authentication
• Processing payments and managing your wallet balance
• Enforcing our Terms of Service and content policies
• Improving the platform and user experience

3. Data Retention

Generated content (images, videos, and audio) is automatically deleted after 30 days. Account data is retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data will be removed in accordance with applicable regulations.

4. User-Initiated Sharing

Your generations are private by default: only you can see them. Qiklab never shares your generations publicly or to any third-party platform on its own, and Qiklab staff cannot make them public. Sharing is always your choice.

When you turn on link sharing for a generation (the Share menu, or Share to X, which turns it on for you):

• A public landing page for that generation is exposed at qiklab.com/g/<generation-id>. Anyone with the link can view the generation, its prompt, your username (linking to your public profile) and the page's preview metadata; no Qiklab account is required.
• The generation is listed in the Shared section of your public profile at qiklab.com/profile/<username>.
• With Share to X, you are also handed off to X (twitter.com) with a pre-filled post that links back to that landing page. You control whether to publish it.

Turning link sharing off, or deleting the generation from your Sets page, takes the landing page offline and removes it from your profile immediately. Shared generations are still deleted after 30 days (see Section 3), and their landing pages go with them.

Your public profile (username, display name, avatar, bio, location and website, plus anything you have shared) can be viewed by anyone, signed in or not.

Social platforms (X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Discord, and similar) may fetch and cache the landing page's thumbnail and preview metadata when the link is rendered. Their handling of that data is governed by their own policies.

Comments. If you comment on a shared generation, your comment, username and profile picture are shown publicly on that generation's page. Comments are hidden while the owner has sharing turned off, and are deleted when the generation is deleted (including at the end of its 30-day retention) or when you delete your account. You can edit or delete your own comments at any time. If someone mentions you with @your-username, we email you a short excerpt and a link to the comment; you can turn these emails off under Account Settings, Notifications.

Votes. When you vote on a shared generation or a comment, your vote is stored with your account so you can change or remove it. Other people only see the totals, never who voted. Votes are hidden while the owner has sharing turned off, and are deleted with the generation or comment, or when you delete your account.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Stripe: for credit/debit card payment processing
• PayPal: for PayPal and Apple Pay payment processing
• Single sign-on providers: Google, Microsoft, Discord, Slack, and X (Twitter) — used only when you choose to sign in with that provider. We receive the account identifier and email address associated with your consent; we do not read messages, post on your behalf, or access other data from those accounts.
• Cloud infrastructure providers: for hosting and content delivery

These providers have their own privacy policies governing how they handle your data.

6. Cookies & Analytics

We use an analytics service to understand how the site is used, such as which pages are visited and actions like votes, comments or shares. It uses cookies and a random identifier, not your name or email address.

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures including encrypted authentication, secure password-less login via magic links, and encrypted data transmission. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent for data processing

9. Children's Privacy

Qiklab is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will take steps to remove their account and data.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on the platform. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
